Installation and setup

• Install Docker and Docker Compose following the instruction provided below
• Download and deploy this docker configuration to your local machine: git clone --recurse-submodules git@github.com:vldnik84/stud_dock.git
• Set up your configuration within docker-compose.yml file and nginx/sites folder
• Change /etc/hosts according to your nginx configuration
• Run ./restart.sh from this folder to start Docker Compose environment
• Visit application URLs in your browser

Install Docker

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install \
    apt-transport-https \
    ca-certificates \
    curl \
    software-properties-common
curl -fsSL https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu/gpg | sudo apt-key add -

For Ubuntu 18.04 choose EDGE release

STABLE release

sudo add-apt-repository \
   "deb [arch=amd64] https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu \
   $(lsb_release -cs) \
   stable"

EDGE release

sudo add-apt-repository \
   "deb [arch=amd64] https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu \
   $(lsb_release -cs) \
   edge"

Linux Mint 18.3

sudo add-apt-repository "deb [arch=amd64] https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu xenial stable"

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install docker-ce

Install Docker Compose

(check its latest version before proceeding)

sudo curl -L https://github.com/docker/compose/releases/download/1.21.2/docker-compose-$(uname -s)-$(uname -m) -o /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
sudo chmod +x /usr/local/bin/docker-compose

Test Docker Compose

docker-compose --version

Add User username to Group docker

sudo usermod -a -G docker username

Logout and Login
