All of my complaints from your original dee submission still apply. They also apply to libunity itself. Having seen the extensive patching necessary to bring libunity into the modern age, I do not believe it is suitable for packaging.

I disagree; other Linux distributions - Fedora, openSUSE, Ubuntu - still package and maintain this software - likely because it's a (weak) dependency of Chromium / the Electron framework. As I mentioned in my other PR, notification badges for Electron apps will not work, leaving them feature incomplete.

Void packages Electron, and without directly modifying Chromium (or Electron), we essentially package something with a broken feature.

Our standards are different from those of other distributions, so noting that they maintain patches and offer packages is not relevant to consideration here.
