0.14.0 ideas and requests

The release for 0.12.0 is pretty locked in but I think it makes sense discussing wanted features for 0.13.0.

The idea is that people post requests for aspects of the game they want control over or want reversed.

Well, i'm going to (at least, try) rebirth Rally Redone to the new versions of elden ring.

I already give a try to modding the rally/recuperable hp, and it seams pretty locked.

I will analise in an deeper way after, like trying to print the rally address and analysing with cheat engine.

but I think if possible, it would be pretty good if it improved.

Ah yes the recoverable HP on the data module is private because we don't fully understand how the two HP values differ. I'll give it a look.

Things to enable hot reloading tricky resources such as

Easy interaction with the map coordinates of things such as:

• Enemies
• MSB regions
• Assets
• etc.

For example: Easy way to check if a player is currently positioned within a region, or above a region. Including support for composite regions

This should be possible with the changes in #208. All the data is there now but we're still lacking a helper fn to facilitate MSB coords -> map coords. The game has a function for this so it shouldn't be too big of a lift.

You should be aware that implementing this will not allow you to check the Y coordinates (height in map). The PlayerIns's block position might be a better fit depending on what you want to do.

After clarification this is mostly about regions for individual mechanics rather than easily checking the player is "in a particular spot". This is a much bigger project since all the relevant data on might want for a mechanic (like spirit springs as discussed) is hiding in various singletons specific to the mechanic in question.
An easy unified way would be to expose getters for the data in MsbResCaps which will be done soon ™️ but it's not an ideal solution.

@vswarte We've already discussed this separately, but I figure I'll mention it here as well just so other folks can see. I'm looking for a way to see live map coordinates of the player. I spent some time trying to translate from block coordinates to map coordinates, but the full formula relies on values that aren't yet accessible in v0.12.0. Also, as you have shared with me in our conversations, there is already a structure (WorldMapViewModel) that stores raw map coordinates, so translation isn't actually necessary if that can be accessed.

Anyway, the impression that I get is that you pretty much already have this done, I just wanted it documented here for visibility. Thanks!
