This was posted almost one year ago, but the prompt has never been removed from the extension. It still misuses the warning notification type to bring attention to the "✨ Get Insiders Edition" text.

I don't understand why an information-level option that silently displays in the language status bar is also considered abusive. If it is removed, most users will have no way of knowing about the existence of the Insiders version. We no longer use pop-up notifications as we did in the beginning, which was the real abuse.

By the way, we have decided to merge the two versions in v3.0, at which point this prompt will be removed.

I completely agree that an information-level option is not considered abusive whatsoever.
However, it's not informational. It uses the "warning" severity which causes the icon in the bar to shake as well as show a notification dot to get your attention.
