This is the seventh public draft of the Web Sustainability Guidelines (WSG's) 1.0 and its accompanying documents.

The following changes have been made since v1.0-D6:

Updates:

• Applied content updates to the laws and policies supplement. (@AlexDawsonUK)

• Included a link to the Manifesto for a Humane Web as it ties into our work. (@AlexDawsonUK & @mbarker84)
• Updated GPFEDS references to the latest (2024) version of the recommendations. (@AlexDawsonUK & @ldevernay)
• Updated some content references to tighten the wording choices. (@mgifford)
• Updated STAR with corrections, additional links and new content. (@ldevernay)
• [#92] Improved readability by placing additional material behind click-to-reveal component. (@AlexDawsonUK)

Fixes:

• Additional useful resources have been included within the specification. (@AlexDawsonUK)
• Applied resolution to blink rendering issue regarding syntax highlighting. (@AlexDawsonUK)
• Broken links and redirects have been resolved or removed. (@AlexDawsonUK)
• Resolved a compatibility issue with the cross-referencing system for STAR. (@AlexDawsonUK)
• [#92] Fixed the print styles so that they don't waste ink on content that isn't visible. (@AlexDawsonUK)
• [#95] Fixed the Open Source GRI rating to better reflect emissions potential output. (@chrisn)
• [#96] Fixed an issue with non-normative references appearing as normative. (@chrisn)
