ScholarScribe v0.1.7 (superseded)

⚠️ This release has been superseded by v0.2.0 which adds the interactive welcome tour and a typography refresh. New users should install v0.2.0 instead.

Install (legacy v0.1.7)

1. Install Ollama.
2. Download the installer for your platform below.
3. Open ScholarScribe → Models tab → download a model.
4. See USER_GUIDE.md for the walkthrough.

Platforms

• Windows: .msi and .exe installers
• macOS: .dmg and .app.tar.gz
• Linux: .deb and .AppImage

Privacy

Zero telemetry. Single outbound host (registry.ollama.ai, only on model download). All inference runs locally via Ollama. See SECURITY.md.

Ethical use

ScholarScribe does not include detection-evasion features. See docs/ETHICS.md.
