v2.3.1 - Hidden needs and the GM cockpit
Mortal Needs 2.3.1 focuses on visibility control, cleaner GM workflows, and a rebuilt SessionFlow cockpit.
Highlights
Hidden and private needs. Needs can now be GM-only, hidden from visual panels until they become relevant, or inverted so resources like morale, oxygen, warmth, supplies, or magical protection become dangerous as they run low.
A cleaner main panel. The main panel now supports character search, several display modes for different table sizes, custom need colors, manual need ordering, and a one-confirmation reset for all tracked characters.
Actor tracking is easier to manage. The Add Actors dialog now doubles as a tracking manager, so GMs can add new characters and remove already tracked characters from the same list.
SessionFlow cockpit rebuild. The SessionFlow widget has been rebuilt around GM triage: crisis metrics, worst-need focus, faster actor controls, batch stress and relief shortcuts, broadcast and flash actions, independent actor drawers, and stronger layout safeguards at small and medium widget sizes.
PF2E condition fix. PF2E users can edit Apply Condition consequences again in Foundry v14, with Mortal Needs reading PF2E's current condition list more reliably.
Compatibility
- Foundry VTT v12-v14
- Verified for Foundry VTT v14
- Existing needs continue to load; the new visibility, display, color, ordering, and inverted-need options are additive.
