If your PC is equipped with Java, you can use the command java -jar SEMDrive.jar in your command line tool to run SEMDrive.jar (Exported through Eclipse IDE as runnable jar file) to launch the application.
Otherwise, double click Drive_windows-x64_1_0.exe to start the installation. Follow the instructions of the installer.
It might take a few seconds to load the welcome page.
The first time you use SEM Drive, please click the “Sign Up” button to create your account (It’s okay to include Chinese characters in your username, but we recommend that you do not include blanks in username, otherwise downloading might fail).
Do check your internet connection before any actions. Otherwise you might get stuck and the application will “freeze” without responding to your requests.
The application will indicates that you sign up successfully. At the same time, a folder named after your username is created on the server (and the permission code is 755). Don’t worry about the security; we keep the passwords after they are encoded(hashed) with MD5.
Click ok and you’ll return to the main window. This time you can log in with your account.
Notice: A message box will pop up if you submit an incorrect password or invalid username.
After you login successfully, a file operation page shows up. In this page, you can choose to upload files on your PC to the server, or browse your files in your folder on the server.
If you choose to upload files, a system explorer will show up. You can filter pdf files, or just choose from “All files”.
Please wait a while after you select “Choose”. SEM Drive will inform you of whether you upload the file successfully.
Note that you can only upload one file at a time. If you select multiple files, the first one in the list will be uploaded. We recommend that you do not include blanks or Chinese characters in your file name. Otherwise downloading of the files will be affected.
Click OK and return to the file operation page. Now you click on “View/Download”. A browser appears. You can filter the files with keywords or postfix.
You can download or delete the files. Make sure you’ve single click the file name before you click the download or delete button.
