PIP Window Keeps Disappearing

I like to run a Picture in Picture window of a Virtual Display that keeps disappearing. It definitely seems to occur after my monitor sleeps, though there may be other times it occurs. I keep having to click "Picture in Picture" > "Enable Picture in Picture Window". Does anyone know why? "Start Automatically" is checked.
