Double tap window title maximize issue

When maximizing by double tapping the window title, the masterView and detailView do not resize to fit the window.

However they do resize properly when using the "+" icon on the window.

I realize now that this is an issue when using third party tools that give you the ability to set custom triggers for maximizing/resizing windows. I am using BetterSnapTool. It still appears that other os x apps are handling this event properly and resizing the subview content accordingly.
