I’m having a great time with this app and planning to keep using it for a while! I’m currently using it on my M4 MacBook Air. However, I’ve noticed a few things that the developer might want to look into soon.

1. When I export as MP4, it doesn’t always get the full resolution, even when I choose high quality. The default macOS screen recorder usually exports full resolution, but this app doesn’t seem to.

2. It seems to make my MacBook get very hot, even when I’m just exporting a one-minute video.

3. Rendering 30082 frames takes almost two hours.

Which release are you using? When you say it doesn't get full resolution do you mean it's pixelated like the preview area? Could you attach some screenshots?

I’m using version 1.0.0 (1.0.0) of the app.

When I record my entire MacBook screen using the macOS screen capture tool, the file comes out at 2940x1912 resolution. But, when I record with your app and export the 8-minute file as an MP4 with High Quality settings, the MP4 file only has a resolution of 2450x1612. If I check the Recordly folder, the unedited RAW video file is still 2940x1912.

I’ve set the Video Effects settings to MP4 > High.

The padding is 10%.

Also, when I export video, the battery drains quickly, and it gets really hot.

Can you try using the latest release and tell me if it still happens?

You need to click "Open System Settings" and click the permissions button as there are multiple different permissions requested. If this doesn't work, you need to delete the permissions from Recordly and re-assign them
