When I click on any of the packs I'm seeing a tab crash in Firefox 55 for Ubuntu in VMWare.

On my Linux dev box (not a VM) it doesn't crash, but it doesn't actually display any animations. I see shader-related warnings in the console, like:

warning: extension `GL_ARB_gpu_shader5' unsupported in vertex shaderi'

Sure enough, when I change the about:config setting webgl.bypass-shader-validation to false, it works about as well in nightly as it does in Chrome (that is to say it's incredibly choppy animation). And false is the default setting on stable Firefox as well, so this is a nightly-only setting, presumably meant to inform site authors that their shaders are broken.

I would recommend site outreach to let them know, since it's probably a good idea for them to fix shaders that don't pass validation.

@simepy, it's unclear to me if they even have their own contact page, if if their acquisition by Adobe means that Adobe should be contacted instead. I do note that they have forums, so perhaps that's one way of reaching out. @adamopenweb, @karlcow, maybe you guys have a better idea?

The reason it works on Chrome (and usually works on the stable Firefox builds) is because they aren't as strict about which GL shaders they will run, compared to nightly Firefox. Because of this, I wouldn't be surprised if the page sometimes crashes, as video drivers don't always handle invalid shaders well. And each browser does things differently, so it's not guaranteed that they will all crash. We would probably need a link to a crash report to know for certain.

The URL reported no longer exists (404 error).

https://www.mixamo.com/#/?page=1&type=Character seems to be similar to what was reported and is working in Firefox 61 for MacOS.

But when I test on my Linux VM the 3D animation doesn't work:
