Web socket connection unexpectedly closing after sending binary data

The connection closes abruptly when the {binary: true, mask: true} options are passed along with the send() method.

Does it crash or just close the connection. In addition to that, what node version & ws version are you running?

I'm using ws 0.4.27. Adding the binary and mask variable just made the connection close. No error was thrown, and the 'close' event was fired. The client is an iOS app using Socket Rocket for creating and running the websocket - since I was anyways passing a buffer instance - I just sent the data without the 2 options I mentioned. Works fine as I'm able to read the bytes on the other end.

Well your asserts are checking if the data being sent is a float32 array. But I'm sending a Buffer Type object - so I guess I didn't have to set the binary option because I'm getting the data intact. Since I'm new to nodejs I was just following the instructions in the readme (so please add instructions for when sending buffer objects). I'll run the tests on my project and get back.
