Connection closed before receiving a handshake response

Hello,
we have been using 3 https websocket servers (ws 0.7.2) without any problem for months, now starting from wednesday 19 august we are experiencing these errors connecting from our usual websocket client inside a web page (Google Chrome):

WebSocket connection to 'wss://xxxx:1227/' failed: Connection closed before receiving a handshake response (twice then the following)
WebSocket connection to 'wss://xxxx:1227/' failed: WebSocket opening handshake timed out

The websocket server becomes dumb, no events emitted nor errors or logs of any type; it's critical because it will not accept any new connection, again without any life sign.
Not sure the problem is related to ws, i noticed a google chrome version update the last days.
What can i do to debug it?
Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry it was a bug inside the client verify function, blocking a memcache client we use to verify clients upon connections.
