FINAL DELIVERABLES: week of april 7
Paul: • P5 or terminal • CHESS WITH GUNS!!!!! • 10x10 grid, 2p game • 5 bullets per player • move, load gun, fire • FULL MECHANICS PROTOTYPE! you’ve committed!
Andrew & Greg: • Unity • Ghostbusters + Luigi’s Mansion • top-down shooter • proc gen mansion • different weapons (traps, etc.) • Chuck says: “it’s also cute” • map generation, play tech, first playable ⁃ 1 enemy type (or more) ⁃ map works ⁃ trap, spawn ⁃ 3 weapons
Miyeon • Processing • Map is controlled by brain interface • Concentrate in order to create a path • “meditation game” • “thinkgear” library (maybe in OF?) • one level, map, instead of creating a path, add another mechanic design
Chuck • reverse raycasting • taking a sound file, turning it into a level • p5 • do a raycasting !
Ben • Unity • 2D arrays into 3D • crocotile3D - 2d sprites only in 3D • crocotile test, low poly aesthetic tests in unity
Yue • astronaut avoiding meteors, alien AI chase, black holes • triple town puzzle game ice cream - obesity • processing or p5 • more detailed mechanics design. try to code a map, character interaction.
Merrilee • Squirrel collecting acorns - metaphor for money and aging? and death. • proc gen world? • p5 or processing • concept refinement, low level mechanics elaboration, sprite sheet world in p5,
Yan • pixel art… platformer • procedural generation • p5 • mechanics elaboration. visual prototype/aesthetic test
Courtney • adventure puzzle game • about feminism/gender equality • 2.5D • p5 • finish paper prototypes, folding mechanic test in p5
Ralph • grid mechanics game • p5 / processing • concept and first grid test
