Phone

Mist shows your phone in the control centre, the phone panel (Super + Y) and the island: calls, SMS, battery, find my phone.

KDE Connect

  1. Install kdeconnect and the KDE Connect app on the phone.
  2. Pair them (kdeconnect-app or the phone app). kdeconnectd stays the backend; Mist reads it over D-Bus.

With no paired device the phone parts stay off.

Calls through ADB (optional)

Some phones never send KDE Connect's telephony events (seen on Xiaomi HyperOS), so incoming calls do not reach the island. Mist can read them from the phone's own call log over ADB instead:

  1. Install android-tools, enable USB debugging on the phone.
  2. Authorise the computer: adb devices must list the phone as device.
  3. For Wi-Fi: adb tcpip 5555 over USB once, then adb connect <phone-ip>:5555.

With adb missing or no authorised device this is off.
