Wiki vs Readthedocs documentaition pages

While enhancing the documentation, I got confused about the 2 ways we can document things:

• the wiki
• the readthedocs pages under

I believe it would be better to remove one of the two documentations (or just create a link to the other doc), otherwise we may have inconsistent versions of the documentation.
Another solution would be so sync the pages in some way, but I have bad experiences with syncing ...
I personally prefer the readthedocs pages since they fall under the normal github version control
