[Feature Request] Support CLI agents other than Claude Code

This app is awesome, thanks for the great work!

As CLI agents become more prolific (like OpenAI Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Goose, OpenCode, OpenHands), it would be incredible to be able to plug them into a system like this.

Understandably it would be a challenge in cases where the given agent doesn't have feature parity with Claude Code. But many of these have a good deal of overlap.

I'm opening this issue to start the discussion. Is this even possible? How much effort would be required? Is it even worthwhile, or is Claudia too tightly coupled to Claude Code?

Why not just do it yourself and make your own version. If you want that feature. No need to do this for the main project it would take the main point away of this project.

Probably, you can set up other CLIs as tools/MCP, which Claude can run. Imagine, heavylifting is done by Gemini CLI (cause it's kinda free) where Claude supervises execution

I would love if this would be supported.

Perhaps wrap an APi around it as well?
This way other apps can interact with the CLI.

Interesting direction. We have considered this internally. I can place this on the roadmap once we have a bit more leeway with the amount of contributions coming in. It would be great to have some contributors onboard and some people providing feedback

I would love this feature too, I had tried implementing on a fork a while ago but Claude hit a wall lol.

I use Claude on the max subscription primarily, but use Gemini's very generous free version, cursor's cli agent (grok is often free), and my 20$ gpt plus plan to supplement my usage. So i have 4 different cli agents sessions to manage 🙄

Something else to consider - codex can work with oss models. So if you started with codex support, people could plugin Gemini, ollama, whatever they wanted. That'd be a pretty big win vs the Gemini cli which is just gemini, or cursor-agent which is just grok, gpt, and claude.
