LINE

WhatsApp is mostly western world.

South east Asia is mostly LINE.

It’s costly , just like WhatsApp for business once you go over a basic threshold though.

I am developing an i18n module for Flue to enable Translation on the fly and transliteration so that I can bridge also between English and non English speakers .

But getting LINE integration as a standard message channels working too is the first step , so I hope that there is interest in this :)

🚀 Feature Request: Add LINE Channel Support (@flue/channel-line)

Description

Add support for receiving verified webhook events from the LINE Messaging API as a native Flue channel adapter, enabling agents to interact with users across Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia.

Proposed Architecture

• Package / Extension: Custom channel adapter or plugin for @flue/runtime
• Webhook Endpoint: HTTP POST receiver compatible with Node.js and Cloudflare Workers
• Authentication & Security: Validate the X-Line-Signature header using HMAC-SHA256 signature verification against the LINE Channel Secret.

Key Tasks

• Implement request signature verification (X-Line-Signature).
• Parse incoming LINE webhook JSON events (events[0].message.text, user/group IDs).
• Bridge LINE session tokens/user IDs to Flue session management.
• Implement response handler using LINE Messaging API (POST https://api.line.me/v2/bot/message/reply).
• Add unit tests and Cloudflare Worker / Node.js integration examples.
