Pin assistance highlight different color

The color of the pin highlighting is confusing when I try to connect a wire to the MCU board. For example, in the picture below when I try to connect the potentiometer SIG Pin, the analog pins on the Nano that I'm trying to connect to fade to white and the other pins get highlighted in green. This makes me think you're 'blocking' the white pins and highlighting in 'good to go green' all of the other pins.

A different color scheme to show what pins I should connect a wire to. Don't have the 'wrong' pins turn green?

I'm thinking about removing this pin assistance feature altogether, it is only works for certain boards (most modern boards have configurable pin functions), and as you state here, the color scheme is confusing.

It is nice to have as a quick sort of replacement for a pinout diagram reference like at the top of the link below.

If the pin assistance is removed, it would be nice to have some sort of reference like below in the wokwi-docs for the boards.

For the color, I think it would help if it's only the pins that you 'should' connect to that get any sort of visual change? The other pins just look the same as if you weren't in a pin-picking mode?

I've looked into this again, and it seems like the thing that makes it confusing is the fact that the Nano pins are getting highlighted twice - once from the breadboard connection circle, and a second time from the pin connection marker.

Can you try without the breadboard and check if the current colors makes more sense in that case?
