WolfStack v24.8.0
v24.8.0: in-app Getting Started course for new operators
Adds a 19-lesson beginner course rendered inside WolfStack — a calm,
one-step-at-a-time tour for people who find the full UI overwhelming, so
they get a first win instead of bouncing back to a bare hypervisor.
- Lessons live under web/learn/*.md (single source of truth, mirror-able
to the public site unchanged). Every click-step is grounded in the real
UI flow — no invented labels. - New "Learn" view: module table-of-contents, progress bar, prev/next,
mark-complete, with progress saved client-side in localStorage. Includes
a lesson markdown renderer (nested ordered/unordered lists, tables,
callouts, fenced code). - Three entry points: a dismissible dashboard banner that catches first-
timers before they bounce, a sidebar-footer compass button, and an
Apps & Tools drawer tile.
Frontend-only (web/, deployed to nodes via setup.sh) — no Rust changes,
no behavioural change to the binary. The course assets shipped in 85ff620;
this minor bump exists so already-current servers see the upgrade and pull
the new web/ on update.
Verifying this release
Each binary is signed via cosign keyless OIDC (no key distribution — signing identity is the GitHub Actions workflow itself, anchored to the Sigstore Fulcio CA and the Rekor transparency log) and ships with a SLSA build provenance attestation.
Verify the cosign signature:
cosign verify-blob \
--bundle wolfstack-x86_64.cosign.bundle \
--certificate-identity-regexp 'https://github.com/wolfsoftwaresystemsltd/WolfStack/\.github/workflows/release\.yml@.*' \
--certificate-oidc-issuer 'https://token.actions.githubusercontent.com' \
wolfstack-x86_64
Verify the build provenance:
gh attestation verify wolfstack-x86_64 --repo wolfsoftwaresystemsltd/WolfStack
Verify the SHA-256 checksum:
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS
