At Quietly, we believe privacy is the ultimate boundary. We built this app to help you find your words, not to read them.
- We don't see your messages. Everything you generate, copy, or share happens locally on your device.
- We don't require an account. You don't need to login or give us your email to use the app.
- We don't track your location. We don't need to know where you are.
- What we do collect: We collect zero personal content. We only view anonymous, aggregate data (like "App crashed" or "Card A1 was selected") via Apple's standard privacy-preserving analytics to help us fix bugs.
[VelvetBit] ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Quietly mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information about you when you use our App.
By using Quietly, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
To be explicitly clear: We do not access, collect, or store the content of the messages you generate or your custom inputs.
- Message Content: The specific messages you build, copy, or share are processed locally on your device. We do not have access to them.
- Custom Inputs: Any custom time (e.g., "at 7:45 PM") you type is processed locally and not sent to our servers.
- Keyboard Data: We do not log your keystrokes.
- Visual Cards: When you generate an image to share, the image rendering happens on your device. We do not upload these images to the cloud.
We collect minimal, anonymized data to ensure the App works correctly and to improve the content.
We rely on Apple's opt-in App Analytics to collect standard log information. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally. It includes:
- Crash Reports: If the app crashes, we receive an anonymous log to help us fix the code.
- Interaction Metrics: Aggregated counts of which features (e.g., "Tone Selection") are used, so we know what to improve.
- Device Type: General device model (e.g., "iPhone 15") and iOS version to ensure compatibility.
We use the anonymous data we collect for the following purposes:
- To Improve Content: Understanding which templates are used most helps us write better scripts for future updates.
- To Fix Bugs: Crash logs help us maintain app stability.
- To Analyze Trends: Understanding general usage patterns helps us shape the product roadmap.
- Local Storage: Your preferences (e.g., last used tone) are stored locally on your device in the Apple Sandbox environment.
- Security: We rely on the security of your device and the iOS ecosystem. We do not maintain external servers that store user data.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties.
- Apple: We use Apple's standard services for app distribution and anonymous telemetry.
Since we do not collect personal data (PII) like names, emails, phone numbers, or IP addresses that link to your identity, traditional "Data Access Requests" generally do not apply as we have no data to link back to you.
However, you maintain full control:
- Opt-Out: You can opt-out of analytics collection via your iOS device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements).
- Deletion: You can delete the App at any time, which instantly wipes all local data and preferences.
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
