I'm going to merge this against my release/1.42.0 branch, in which CircleCI is giving me grief validating the .podspec, despite it working locally and in Buildkite.
Normally, I'd want to get to the bottom of this. But I think there's more useful things we could do with our time than understanding why something isn't working on CircleCI, given we're actively moving away from it.
