Moving AC to core integration while retaining history

Has anyone who has moved from using this integration to the new Core integration done so while retaining their device history? Is is possible? Any suggestions on the best route to achieve it?

Hi @RabidAnteater, yes, you can.

The trick is to use the exact same entity ID. So, if necessary, rename the entity to match the previous one, and Home Assistant should retain its history.
