シンプルな多対多関連

Railsで多対多関連を実現するには中間テーブルを必要とする。中間テーブル自体にデータを持たせる必要がないのであれば、has_and_belogs_to_manyを使うことでシンプルに多対多関連を実装できる。 モデルとは別に、マイグレーションファイルを使って中間テーブルを作る。中間テーブルはモデルではないのでrails generate migrationコマンドでマイグレーションファイルを生成する。 中間テーブルは参照だけを持たせる。主キーも必要ない。create_tableに:id => false のオプションをつけて主キーの生成を抑制する。

テーブルの名前は、関連する2つのテーブルの名前を、辞書順にアンダースコアでつないだものにする。 順序を間違えると参照できないので注意。

モデルに、has_and_belongs_to_manyを使って参照先のモデルを記述する。
