Version 1.0.0
WARNING: Do not use this add-on tool without making backups of your work first!
WHAT IS EDGEFLOWDRAW? EdgeFlowDraw tool allows the user to draw a path of quads with the mouse. The main goal is to provide 3D artists with the ability to focus primarily on the edgeflow itself from the start of modelling, as opposed to starting with block-out (cube/sphere for basic shape) or point modelling (tediously extruding vertices one-by-one) methods. This approach provides artists something in between those approaches, with the main focus on defining edgeflow and silhouette first, up front. Hopefully this will help avoid or make for easier/better planning of edge poles with more than five edges connected (which require solutions like deleting faces and knife-tooling it all again). No zoom in/out feature for now.
HOW TO USE: Start it up with by placing your mouse cursor in the 3D Viewport and pressing the F3 key. Type "EdgeFlowDraw Tool" (or just hit Enter key if you've run it recently). This starts the tool and creates a mesh around your mouse cursor at the depth of the 3D cursor. Start drawing your model's edgeflow with your mouse. Resize quads with scrollwheel (including at the start, before you draw the second quad). You can undo the last quad drawn in your path with RMB. Orbit around left or right by holding MMB and moving left or right. ESC key to cancel. To finish, click LMB.
The first version (1.0.0) is fairly crude as there is no orbiting up/down and no zoom during use of the tool. Please send feedback.
