pi-ampersand lets Ampersand, an AI collaborator, read along in your pi session and speak up only when it has something worth hearing.
It sees what you and pi say, not pi's tool calls, commands or file edits. It can't act, only talk, and most turns it says nothing.
pi install git:github.com/y0usaf/pi-ampersand
export AMPERSAND_API_KEY=... # from https://ampersand.humansand.ai/ampshows whether it's on, its session, tokens used and the last error./amp offand/amp onstop and resume it for this session./amp <text>says something to Ampersand directly.
Its messages land in the transcript as Ampersand (AI observer): ….
After each pi run, your messages and pi's reply text, each clipped to 6,000 characters, go to one Ampersand session per pi session. Nothing is sent without a key, while it's off, or in print and JSON modes.
Ampersand's messages also reach pi's model on its next turn. The label says who spoke; it doesn't stop pi from acting on what was said.
AMPERSAND_MODEL (default ampersand-v0.1) and AMPERSAND_BASE_URL (default https://ampersand.humansand.ai/v1).
