Neru 1.24 feedback

I installed the updated Neru.
After removing from Accessibility and adding it back, the application works well.
The focus is moving correctly to the elements but I cannot activate the buttons.

What is the right way to do this ?
I use default configuration.

Hi, have you inspected the default shortcuts for left_click, right_click and stuff? It doesn't autoclick comparing to Vimium (but you can make it do so, inspect the default_config thing thoroughly)

I suggest having it by default so it will be easy to move from ShortCat.

this is a very specific workflow that differs for every person. The default config is meant for you to just start feeling the program. How you want to use it is really up to you. I would suggest to start tweaking some of the configuration instead of tweaking the defaults tho. You might eventually have a totally different config as compared to the default config provided at the end of the day.

Not at the moment, I don't have further interest to put pure ui code into the codebase yet.

In my view UI code might be better off be implemented in swift instead. This can be easily achieved with another project/codebase and they just need to:

• query neru if its running (we will return the config path as response)
• then the swift project can just parse the config path and do all the UI work over there)
• once ready, sync the changes to the config file and ask neru to reload.

All of these internals are already fully supported currently. Whoever have interest to do a project like this will have my full support too.

What really that I can do is that to provide starter config for people who wants

• shortcat like workflow
• homerow like workflow
• vimium like workflow

But these will be just pre made configs that you can copy and paste to expect similarities, it won't be the default that shipped in the program.
