Blessings
A Blessing is a permanent passive perk you draw from a Lord's trophy. Unlike a Forsaken Power, you don't activate it — it simply works in the background for as long as it's active on you.
To receive a Blessing:
- Place a Lord's Pedestal (craftable once you've unlocked it).
- Mount a Lord's trophy on it.
- Interact with the pedestal to receive the blessing.
The pedestal glows softly once a trophy is mounted. You can place several pedestals side by side to build your own Hall of the Lords.
Blessings are mutually exclusive — drawing a new one replaces whichever Blessing you currently have active. Pick the one that fits what you're doing.
Each mounted trophy can grant a Blessing a limited number of times (5 by default) before it crumbles to dust — "The Lord's spirit is spent — hunt it anew to restore the blessing." Once that happens, you'll need to defeat that Lord again for a fresh trophy. There's also a short cooldown between draws ("The spirit gathers — wait a moment"), and a mounted trophy is bound to its pedestal until its charges are used up — it can't be removed early, and the pedestal itself can't be picked up while a trophy is mounted.
Your fishing casts have a chance to spare the bait, and a chance to land a bonus fish on the catch.
Planted crops within 30 meters of you grow noticeably faster while this Blessing endures.
Mining iron from Swamp ore has a chance to yield an extra piece.
Tamed wolves within 30 meters take much less damage while you're nearby, and any creature you're taming or breeding does so noticeably faster.
Food buffs you eat last twice as long.
Smelters, Blast Furnaces, Spinning Wheels, and Eitr Refineries near you have a good chance to yield a bonus output item when they finish a job.
Her wings bear your burdens: carry far more weight than usual with no encumbrance penalty — walk, run, and recover stamina freely right up until you hit the (much higher) cap. You also gain two extra inventory rows. Switch to a different Blessing and anything left in those extra rows spills out into a crate at your feet, so nothing is lost.
