Finding the Lords

The Lord's Horn

Before you can summon any Lord, you need a Lord's Horn. Craft it at a Workbench using:

  • Neck Tail ×5
  • Trophy of a Deer ×1
  • Bronze ×1

The Horn is reusable in the sense that you can craft more, but each summoning attempt consumes one Horn — so keep the ingredients handy if you plan on hunting more than one Lord.

Proving yourself

Each Lord only answers the Horn once you've hunted enough of its biome's creatures. The exact number varies by Lord — generally lower-tier biomes ask for more kills of common creatures, while harder biomes ask for fewer kills of tougher ones. If you haven't hunted enough yet, the Horn will tell you that you're "not yet a proven hunter here."

The summoning ritual

To call a Lord:

  1. Be in the correct biome for that Lord. The Horn will refuse to sound if you're in the wrong biome ("No Lord rules this land").
  2. Wait for night. Lords only answer the Horn after dark — by day, the Horn "lies silent under the sun."
  3. Use the Horn. If everything checks out, the world shifts — the weather turns and ominous music rises — and the Lord appears nearby.

The seven Lords

Lord Biome
Neck Lord Meadows
Greydwarf Shaman Lord Black Forest
Draugr Elite Lord Swamp
Fenring Lord Mountain
Lox Lord Plains
Seeker Lord Mistlands
Fallen Valkyrie Lord Ashlands

Neck Lord — Meadows

"The marshes ripple… something ancient stirs." Hunt regular Necks until the Horn deems you ready, then summon it near water at night.

Greydwarf Shaman Lord — Black Forest

"The greenwood stirs… ancient eyes open." Hunting any kind of Greydwarf — regular, Elite, or Shaman — counts toward summoning this Lord.

Draugr Elite Lord — Swamp

"A miasma rises from the bog… the dead king walks." Any flavor of Draugr (including ranged) counts toward the requirement.

Fenring Lord — Mountain

"The mountain howls… the pack stirs." Wolves and the local Fenring packs (including their cultists) both count.

Lox Lord — Plains

"The grasslands tremble… a great beast bellows." Of all the Lords, the Lox Lord asks for the fewest kills — but don't let that fool you about the fight ahead.

Seeker Lord — Mistlands

"The mist hums… the hive marks you." Seekers, Seeker Brutes, and Seeker Brood all count toward proving yourself.

Fallen Valkyrie Lord — Ashlands

"The ashen sky tears open… a fallen Valkyrie descends." Charred melee, archer, and mage warriors all count toward the requirement for this, the toughest Lord of all.

After the fight

Win, and a victory message marks the Lord's fall, the Lord drops its unique trophy, and you're granted its Forsaken Power automatically. Bring the trophy home — see Blessings for what to do with it next.
