would love to see that... something that feels like the file search ui in raycast would be awesome. |

The lack of an fzf file tree jumper is currently the main blocker keeping me on yazi, despite preferring Superfile's overall experience and interface.
Instead of building and optimizing a heavy in-house file-tree traversal algorithm, which introduces memory/performance overhead, we can support external fuzzy searching (fzf) directly within Superfile using Bubble Tea's tea.ExecProcess.
I think yazi does it the same way: pressing a shortcut (e.g., Z ) suspends the TUI, hands terminal control to fzf, lets the user filter the entire directory tree, and drops them back into Superfile at the chosen target file or directory.
As highlighted in issue #1026 regarding memory optimizations in fuzzySearch(), running in-app recursive search across large directory trees can cause high slice allocations and slow down the main TUI process. By delegating the search to fzf we completely avoid many of this troubles.
This feature has been requested several times in other discussions, such as Discussion #1196, so I think many users would welcome this addition. I am more than happy to implement this and submit a Pull Request if the maintainers are open to this approach!
Visually it looks like this in yazi:
Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3:

I wonder if there's interest in this, if so, I'm happy to implement it myself.
