Intermittent long buffering with "Fixing stalled client..." message

I’m seeing an intermittent issue where videos get stuck buffering with the loading spinner for a long time, and SmartTube sometimes shows “Fixing stalled client...” before playback eventually resumes. It doesn’t happen on every video, but it happens often enough to be noticeable. Has anyone else seen this recently, and are there any recommended settings or workarounds to reduce it?

@yuliskov Adding a screenshot showing the issue happening in real time. The video stays at 0:00 with the loading spinner, and SmartTube shows “Fixing stalled client...”. I’m already using 1080/60/AVC, so switching to AVC does not seem to resolve it.

@sudharsan-ak, could check the bug with this option enabled Settings/Player/Dev. options/Prefer Google DNS

I enabled Settings → Player → Dev. options → Prefer Google DNS and tested, but I’m still seeing the same issue. Videos continue to get stuck on the loading spinner with “Fixing stalled client...” and sometimes take a long time to start. Let me know if there are any other settings I should try or any logs I can provide. The worst part is the app is basically unusable and no video is playing for me anymore.
