Compatibility with rockchip devices

Hi Zabbly,

I tried running your kernel on my Rockchip RK3588S SoC device (nanopi-r6s).
Running debian trixie (pxvirt fork of Proxmox for ArM64) - booting with EDK2, GRUB and ZFS.
Works but I don't get video output on HDMI.

I tried loading Armbians DTB file with grub 'devicetree' function but to no avail.

Any ideas?

Feel free to check for any missing configuration keys for your hardware in .config of the aarch64 branch and I can enable them.

But speaking from experience (I have some ODROID boards using Rockchip chips), a lot of the Rockchip support relies on out of tree, yet to be upstreamed driver or patches.

So it's quite possible that the HDMI support for your board requires such out of tree code. The Zabbly kernel builds track the latest upstream stable release and while they may contain the occasional revert and tweaks, we don't generally include out of tree drivers.
