Version-2-Preview: dev-branch source preview + rehearsed upgrade path + feature catch-up
The page was written 2026-08-26 and had fallen behind the tree. Now covers:
the cluster triage workspace (list w/ awaiting-triage queue, derived
severity + override, five statuses, seven-tab detail page, escalate-or-
merge, pre-expanded alert deep links); the case UI progress (Assets/
Indicators/Tasks/Evidence rebuilt, Summary two-column, nav re-sectioned,
Settings rail, announcement banners); a new "Trying the preview" section
documenting the public dev branch (snapshot semantics, backup-first
upgrade commands, single-branch caveat); and the Upgrading section moved
from intent to fact - the migration chain has been rehearsed against a
clone of real 1.4.x data, and the one-way-door + rebuild-required
findings are stated. Banner corrected: the v2 tree does declare v2.0.0
now, so the "every tree stays 1.4.x" sentence is dropped; the
no-image-you-can-pull wording is unchanged.
Add Version 2 Preview page: v2.0.0 features and progress
Documents what version 2.0.0 will contain — mail-sourced alerts and mail
rules, alert clusters and clustering rules, investigation flows, the
org-wide customer asset registry, notifications / Home / following, war
rooms with situation reports, and the refreshed case interface — plus
what does not change (API compatibility, additive-only schema, no new
permission bits, existing AI surfaces untouched) and the upgrade path.
Carries an explicit unreleased banner in the linter-visible wording: no
image exists for IRIS-NG-v2.0.0 and the version stays at 1.4.x until the
release is cut. The banner and the version citation must both be revised
by the v2.0.0 release pass.
Honest about state: each area is marked code-complete or in progress,
and the closing section lists what remains — a live mailbox test, a live
AI backend pass, a browser pass, and the release itself.
