Configuration and Customization

You can access Armor Hider's configuration screen either through the ingame UI (per default, it provides a "Zannagh's Armor Hider" button within the options screen - you can change this to be embedded into the Skin Customization Screen, see Advanced Settings) or through a dedicated keybind (by default 'J' key).

Overview

As long as you are not in a game / world, Armor Hider's settings look like the above. Once you load into a world, it's accompanied by a live-preview of your player model using your settings.

Adjustments

Combat Detection

Armor Hider's Combat Detection feature, when enabled, will draw your armor fully opaque / visible when you enter combat for a few seconds and then fade back into your actual desired value. This is meant to provide more immersion and create a better balance in PvP environments.

You can toggle the setting on and off via the button marked above. Note that when Armor Hider is running server-side, Administrators can force the setting to be enabled for everyone to have a fair baseline for PvP combat. For more information, see Combat Detection

Switch to Vanilla Armor in Combat

Via "Switch to Vanilla Armor in Combat" you can have Armor Hider switch your armor model to the vanilla armor you're using in case your armor is otherwise overridden by a resource pack or EMF.

You can toggle the setting on and off via the button marked above. Note that this settings requires Combat Detection to be enabled to work.

Respect Invisibility

Via enabling "Respect Invisibility", Armor Hider will not change armor rendering while you are having an invisibility effect applied to yourself. This prevents that you could otherwise wear armor while being invisible, which is gameplay-changing (being invisible should usually have you wear no armor for balancing reasons).

Note that this setting can be enforced by Administrators if Armor Hider is running server-side for balancing reasons.

Individual Player Configuration

Via the "Individual Player Config" button you can open a screen that lets you define the visuals of other players in detail.

Presets

Armor Hider offers 5 presets which you can use for quick-switching (also via a definable keybind, that when held + number key will quick switch in between them). When you set a preset to active and then adjust your settings, the preset will be updated. Click the active preset to disable it.
