As we all know, Netflix, Prime, and other platforms require a DRM license to stream protected content. Zen Browser currently lacks this. While Zen waits for license approval from Google, is it possible to pursue alternatives to Widevine so that Zen can stream and play DRM‑protected media sooner?
Alternatives like FairPlay, PlayReady, and Adobe Primetime could be considered while waiting for Widevine approval. As far as I know, Netflix, Hotstar, Prime, and others support these DRM licenses.
I am not a domain expert, so I can’t be certain about this idea. But if it’s possible, and if it indeed requires community support, then let’s try it.
