[Feature Request] Split-view "labels" for specifc tab-pairings / configurations

It's already amazing that we can pin specific split-tab pairings / combinations, and I know we can already rename individual tabs by editing their labels. It would be nice if we could name the resulting split-view "unit" with a single label as well. It would be especially useful for those of us who do vertical tabs.

This is what my tabs look like right now:

I understand that this necessitates hiding the names of the individual tabs inside. But how often, really, am I checking to see the names of the tabs while I'm looking at a split-view? How often am I likely to need to? Know what I mean?

Or maybe it can be a dynamic thing where hovering with the cursor slides/reveals the individual tab names, but, when not in focus, only the desired label is displayed? Could we have that?
