Plans didn't work out this weekend for Ludum Dare 44, but I made the best of it by revisiting this old gameboy project and adding some new features.
We received some really excellent feedback from the comments and judging panel during the competition, and really appreciate all of it! We've implemented no gameplay changes, as we wanted to preserve the game as it stands, but I took the time to learn OpenMPT, get a lovely Mod Playing library and workflow figured out, and also added a basic SFX engine. There's music, bleeps and bloops galore!
There's much room for improvement, but overall I'm happy with where this has ended up. I want to refine some of the better ideas from this dare into proper libraries and prepare for the next challenge, but this will probably be the last update to Dyson's Fear. Thanks for all the support!
