Many days schedules

[FrazzledTurtle]

Hi,

Just wanted to see if you could add a way the calendar shows also events/tasks that take more than one day. Some kind of highlight it already has for a day, but it highlights several days all-together. If one day inside this highlight has another event in it, add a different color to it.

Still, thank you for developing and maintaining the app.

Hello @FrazzledTurtle and thank you for the question. Can you give me more detailed information? How did you enter such dates in the calendar? Please give me examples what you exactly expect and possibly also screenshots so that I can understand better

[zomtec2311]

@FrazzledTurtle i built a tarball for testing on the quick one time. in it, multi-day dates are now also considered. please test and provide feedback. note that this version is not signed and nextcloud will certainly complain during an integrity check. the tarball only contains the changed css, js and lib folders
test.tar.gz

@zomtec2311 Thank you for the quick fix. I just tested it in a Nextcloud session and yes it does work.

The multi-day dates could also be shown as a connected shape so that its easier to understand by just a glance. If one of the days in this connected shape has two or more events, it can be highlighted as a circle like per usual.

Thank you again for the fix.

@FrazzledTurtle thank you for the screenshots.
I am not yet convinced of this form of representation. in my opinion, that would destroy the compact calendar view. what if not only side-by-side days have the same date, but in your example the 26th and 27th?

[FrazzledTurtle]

@zomtec2311 Thank you for the quick reply. Hmmm you may be right on that regard. Different calendars like in Notion, Appflowy make it like so. Excuse my drawing...
In this example, if an event is for 26th and 27th, it could appear in this manner and in the case there is already an event on the 27th let's say, make its circle highlighted like you already do on days with two or more events.

@FrazzledTurtle
what i can do is this: if day is part of a multi, there will be a circle around the day number. in my screenshot there is an appointment from 22. to 24.

[FrazzledTurtle]

@zomtec2311 I like the idea a lot. In cases there are multi-day events on the same day for example, will you change the color of this small circle?

[zomtec2311]

no. that would be too many code changes for this particular case. that with the circle around multi-dates is a compromise. if there is further overlap with multi-dates on days, you have to mouse over a multi-date to view all appointments to see if there are more appointments on that day

[FrazzledTurtle]

I understand, then I think it's already good as it is with the white circles.

Will come with next release
