Doppelgänger is a utility made for you to never lose track of your important files again. It watches folders you select and creates date-appropriate copies of every file, preserving every change you've made. By default, it keeps 3 doppelgängers (copies) of your source folder, one of which is a full copy and others are partial copies (only files that were changed during the day are copied). In practice, this turns into a 3-day version history.
- Auto-cleanup - Doppelgängers older than the amount of days you choose to preserve in history are deleted.
- Background running - Doppelgänger continues to work in the background as an Agent (lives in the menu bar)
- File browsing - You can manually browse Doppelgängers' contents and get your files from them.
- Ignore Engine built-in -
.gitignore,.dockerignoreand.dpgignorefiles are automatically parsed and used as instructions for Doppelgänger as of what files to ignore.
Doppelgänger currently speaks 3 languages: English, Russian and Ukrainian.
