v1.5.32 (2026-06-08) — Invented pyVmomi methods fixed + alarm/sensor/migrate corrections
A pyVmomi introspection audit found two invented SDK methods (passed import,
lint, and --help; crashed at runtime) and two silent-logic bugs.
Fixed
cluster remove-host:Folder.MoveIntoFolder_Task([host])— the previously
calledFolder.MoveInto_Taskdoes not exist in pyVmomi (AttributeError on
every invocation).alarm reset: rewritten onAlarmManager.ClearTriggeredAlarmswith an
AlarmFilterSpec (SetAlarmStatusnever existed in pyVmomi). Note the real
semantics: clears ALL triggered alarms matching the named alarm's entity
type and status — documented, and the CLI now requires double confirmation.- VM migrate: shared-datastore access check compares
HostMount.key
(a HostSystem was compared against HostMount objects, so shared-storage
vMotion was always refused). - Hardware sensors: health from
healthState.key(green/yellow/red); the
previous code reported the sensor category as its status, so degraded
sensors could never be detected. Sensor type kept as a separate column. - Event severity sets:
DVPortgroupReconfiguredEventcasing (never matched).
Defense
- New vim-attribute conformance regression: 121 property chains + ~50 method
names validated against pyVmomi metadata, plus a source scan that fails the
build if the invented names reappear.
