Zeek Project finances:
- The Zeek project recently received a surprising legal bill with charges going back to 2019. This legal bill is high enough to have a significant impact on the finances of the project.
- Most of this meeting was taken up by a discussion of the charges, approaches to potentially lower the bill, as well as a short discussion on how we should raise more money in the future. The LT also discussed potential changes to project organization.
- We will have a formal vote on whether we want to definitely create our own foundation and stop exploring having someone be a fiscal sponsor.
Training subgroup:
- The training subgroup is nearly done finalizing the Zeek approved training framework and, as of this meeting, voting on it (performed offline) was in progress. The framework will be published within the next few weeks.
