Election of the LT chair:
- Following the LT process, the new LT elected its chair, returning Johanna Amann to the role.
Zeek Week:
- The LT spent most of the meeting covering Zeek Week. Topics covered include:
- Session duties (who will announce speakers)
- Introductory remarks (will be given by Johanna)
- Speaker & keynote speaker logistics
- Slack channel setups
- Training logistics
- Live streaming logistics (we will use Zoom webinars)
Trademarks:
- The Zeek project has to renew some of its trademarks by January. We had a short discussion about this and will get the process started.
Subprojects updates:
- Training:
- Everything is on track for Zeek Week
- The possibility of having log cheat-sheet handouts for training attendees was briefly discussed. It’s currently not certain this will work out, but there was a positive consensus to the idea.
- Testing:
- We recently released the first Release Candidate for Zeek 5.1. Due to this, the testing subgroup is resuming heavy testing.
