New features

Description

v1.0.0 provides new API based on bitboards instead of arrays. This allows moving calculations into registers, reduce the number of branches, and completely abandon pointers, passing structures exclusively by value.

Perfomance

v1.0.0 is 8x-14x faster and eats less RAM: for example, RsmcBoard now weighs only 8 bytes instead of 64 and all possible moves are stored in 8 bytes instead of 69.

Safety

v1.0.0 does not operate pointers, so now it is officially memory-safe.

Other changes:

  • Added builds for ARM
  • Added builds for x86-64-v3, which are up to 40% faster
  • All builds are using Clang now
