Betaflight CLI, Meshtastic chat, and a reason to stop balancing a laptop on the car roof.

GNDHOG ZERO 0.1.0 runs on M5Stack Cardputer Zero with Linux. Connect a flight
controller for CLI commands, field checks, and configuration backups. Connect a
separate Meshtastic radio for chat, quick messages, and local transcripts. Add
GNSS for range, bearing, position sharing, and saved places. The hedge remains
an outdoor activity.

  • FPV: command completion and history, paced restore, motor/erase confirmations,
supported VTX pit-mode guard, and FC MCU temperature warnings.
  • Mesh: heard-node ages, routing acknowledgement and failure states, local
chat history, compass-assisted Locate, and session-only opt-in position sharing.
  • Release cleanup: current store screenshots, a shorter user guide, complete
packaged documentation, and the audio libraries declared where installers can find them.

Download bfcli_0.1.0_arm64.deb, copy it to the Cardputer, and install there:

sudo apt install --no-install-recommends ./bfcli_0.1.0_arm64.deb

Open GNDHOG ZERO in APPLaunch. Set the switch to HOST and use a USB-A
data cable. Props off for FC bench work. A restored configuration needs
save to persist. Closing serial does not cut USB or battery power. Mesh SOS
does not contact emergency services or guarantee delivery.
