The kit is on npm: @ai-native-design-framework/kit 0.2.1. No change to what the kit does since 0.2.0.

What changed since 0.2.0

  • The kit package is no longer marked private and is published to npm from GitHub Actions with npm provenance.
  • The MCP server is listed in the MCP Registry as io.github.0design/aindf 0.2.1 (npm, stdio).
  • The README prompt asks for an absolute clone path, names the seven 0.2 sources and gives the claude mcp add command; other agents run the same command as a stdio server.
  • A publish workflow, and a text scan of the unpacked tarball before publishing.

Run it

The kit runs from a clone, as in the README prompt, or straight from npm with Node.js 20.10 or newer:

These are on main after this tag and will come with the next version: the README Install section for npx, the npm-normalized bin path, the Claude Code plugin marketplace file and the skills CLI install line.

Versions 0.0.0-stage and 0.0.1 on npm are empty placeholders; use 0.2.1.

Screens from contracts: your agent writes a screen as a config, and a check refuses anything your design system does not have.

Spec

  • Component contracts, bindings and the screen config (ScreenSpec), pinned to one version of the design system.
  • Bundles: one immutable file per design-system version, addressed by a hash of its canonical JSON.
  • The screen check, with a stable code and path for every refusal, and the builder.
  • Instance on Core: a project design system that extends a shared one keeps every Core contract.

Kit (packages/aindf-kit)

  • aindf check, bundle, build, repin and mcp, with no dependencies, on Node.js 20.10 or newer.
  • An MCP server with seven read-only tools; the tools that record drafts appear only where the server can record them.
  • Checks that every default, every example and every Core contract fits the design system.

Plugin (plugin)

  • A read-only plugin for Claude Code: the screen-author skill and a local MCP server for one design system bundle, with a demo bundle when none is set.

Examples

  • examples/demo-ds: a demo design system with three examples that run in CI.

The kit runs from a clone of this repository; it is not published to npm and the plugin is not listed in any marketplace yet. See the README to get started.
