v0.1.0
Codex Observe is a Next.js observability dashboard for Codex CLI usage. It ingests session logs, derives projects from git remotes (including worktrees), and stores sessions, models, tools, projects, and tool-call events in SQLite. The app exposes REST APIs for overview, sessions, models, providers, projects, tool-calls, activity, ingest, and sync-status, with filters (date range, project, branch, originator, etc.). The UI provides KPI cards, Recharts-based views, and server-side pagination (e.g. projects via TanStack Table), plus E2E API tests and Prettier/ESLint setup.
- Ingestion & data model: Log parsing and ingest pipeline that upserts projects/project_refs from git remotes, persists session_context and tool_call_events, and backfills session project_id/ref; supports conductor workspaces and canonical project naming via
repoNameFromRemote. - Projects: Projects list and detail (branch/worktree breakdown, rollups), merge by canonical git URL, server-side pagination and search, and display of GitHub-style owner/repo from remotes with worktree support.
- Dashboard UI: Activity (YTD KPIs, heatmap, cost chart), Sessions, Models, and Tools pages with KPI cards, token/cost charts, tool and failure breakdowns, and date-range filtering; sync status in the header.
- APIs & metrics: REST endpoints for overview, sessions, models, providers, projects, tool-calls, activity, ingest, and sync-status, with aggregates, filters (project, branch, worktree, originator, CLI version, exit code, duration), and cost/token breakdowns.
- Quality & tooling: E2E API test suite (Vitest, Next.js on dynamic port), git-utils tests (including worktree/commondir), migration to
node:sqlite, and Prettier (no semicolons, single quotes) plus ESLint.
