FTP plugin

Hi, this is exciting to see my favorite Windows file manager back in development! I see some notes about the FTP plugin but cannot locate the ftp plugin. Is it working in the x64 version?

Hi @georgewf — thanks, that's great to hear!

Yes, the FTP Client ships and works in the x64 build. I just checked the current x64 release and it's there: plugins\ftp\ftp.dll (with its language packs), registered in plugins\plugins.ver. It's bundled, not a separate download.

To use it:

• Plugins menu → Connect to FTP Server (shortcut Ctrl+Shift+F), or
• type an ftp://host (or ftps://host) address straight into the path bar.

If it isn't showing in the Plugins menu:

1. Open Plugins → Plugins Manager and look for FTP Client in the list.
2. If it's listed, you're set — use the menu item or shortcut above.
3. If it's not listed, click Add, browse into your Sally folder to plugins\ftp\ftp.dll, and open it — that registers the plugin. (The Add dialog filters for *.dll;*.spl.)

Sally normally auto-discovers everything under plugins\ on startup, so a manual Add is only needed if the entry got removed. If it's still missing after that, tell me your Sally version and which zip you extracted (and where), and I'll dig in.
