pstack-pi v0.16.0

First Pi-native setup and routing release, merged through PR #1.

Release commit: 2274745528d0bea38ae6ed23f90221e89a6e7c34.

Changes

  • Native /setup-pstack using Pi's model registry and selection dialogs.
  • All 17 upstream routing roles, customizable models and panels, and separate thinking levels.
  • Self-contained pstack_task for isolated single, parallel, and chained delegation.
  • Per-task model overrides, parent inheritance, panel cycling, and cross-family judge preference.
  • Strict config validation, atomic writes, and legacy four-role migration.
  • Child usage accounting, streaming progress, and cancellation.

Install

pi install git:github.com/0xrsydn/pstack-pi@v0.16.0

Restart Pi or run /reload, then run /setup-pstack to review model routes.

The package extension loads at startup. It registers /setup-pstack and pstack_task without requiring a skill invocation. Skills load workflow instructions separately.

Migration

  • Replace custom calls to the old subagent tool with pstack_task.
  • Remove manually copied extension entry points if the package is also installed.
  • Run /setup-pstack to review or migrate ~/.pi/agent/pstack-models.json.
  • Personal provider routes and parent Pi defaults remain user configuration.

Known limits

  • This version identifies the Pi port, not full parity with an upstream Cursor release.
  • Newer upstream skills, including correct, ketchup, and additional principles, remain follow-up work.
  • Parallel calls accept eight tasks and run four children concurrently.
  • Children share files unless separate working directories are supplied. This is not a filesystem sandbox or automatic worktree manager.
  • No durable background jobs or Cursor-style child resume handles are provided.
  • Children load their own Pi resources; parent-only command-line extension paths are not forwarded.

Validation

  • npm ci --ignore-scripts: passed; audit found no vulnerabilities.
  • npm run check: TypeScript and six tests passed, including a repeat against the merged commit.
  • README configuration examples, all 17 role rows, budget mappings, local links, and whitespace: passed.
  • npm pack: archive contents and version verified.
  • Startup probe with --no-skills: pstack_task registered exactly once and active.
  • Live single, chain, role-routed, installed-package, and GPT-6.1 SOL parent-inheritance tests passed during development.

The package archive and SHA256SUMS are attached. Verify the downloaded files with:

shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS

The archive is a release artifact. This release does not publish to the npm registry.
