@0xt1m 0xt1m released this 26 Oct 15:21

New in 0.5.1

  • Opens where you stopped: close nxtbible and it reopens at the same chapter and verse you were reading, in both Read and Compare.
  • Bigger and smaller text: text size now goes from 14 to 28 px (it was 15 to 22). Change it with the Text size slider in Reading settings, or View › Larger Text (⌘=) and Smaller Text (⌘−). The verse you're reading stays in place when the size changes.

New in 0.5.0

  • Add your own translations: choose File › Add Translation… (or Add translation… in the Library) and pick a MyBible Bible module (.SQLite3). It's ready for reading, comparing and searching like the built-in translations. Imported translations stay on your computer, and Remove in the Library deletes one.
  • Pink highlights: highlights made in pink on a phone now show in Notes, and can be cleared from the verse toolbar.

New in 0.4.0

  • Windows and Linux: nxtbible now runs on Windows 10/11 (64-bit) and 64-bit Linux, as well as on Mac.
  • Signed for Mac: the Mac app is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens with a normal double-click.

nxtbible 0.3.0

Choose a tag to compare

@0xt1m 0xt1m released this 15 Oct 18:12

Lumen is now nxtbible

The app has a new name. Nothing else has changed, and your notes, highlights, bookmarks and settings carry over automatically.

  • Updating from Lumen 0.2.0: choose Install and Restart when asked. The app may keep the name Lumen.app in Applications until the next update, which renames it to nxtbible.app.
  • Updating from Lumen 0.1.0: download the dmg below and install it by hand. 0.1.0 can't check for updates.

Install

  1. Download nxtbible-0.3.0-arm64.dmg (Apple Silicon Macs).
  2. Drag nxtbible to Applications. Updates can only install there.
  3. nxtbible isn't code-signed yet, so the first time you open it, right-click nxtbible.app and choose Open.

Lumen 0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@0xt1m 0xt1m released this 15 Oct 16:29

New in 0.2.0

  • App icon: a gold bookmark ribbon on a near-black tile, replacing the default Electron icon.
  • Automatic updates: a few seconds after starting, Lumen checks for a newer version and asks before installing it. Install and Restart downloads it, checks it, and reopens Lumen on the new version. You can also choose Later or Skip This Version, or check by hand with Lumen › Check for Updates….
  • Your last change is now saved even if you quit right after making it.

Install

  1. Download Lumen-0.2.0-arm64.dmg (Apple Silicon Macs).
  2. Drag Lumen to Applications. Updates can only install there.
  3. Lumen isn't code-signed yet, so the first time you open it, right-click Lumen.app and choose Open.

If you have 0.1.0, install this version by hand once. 0.1.0 can't check for updates, so it won't offer this one.
